We Dedicate our New Field & Craig Scores a Goal!

Imagine with me, thousands of young people playing on this field, learning about Jesus. —Sean Lambert

The staff and students of YWAM San Diego/Baja dedicated the brand new, state-of-the-art football (soccer for you 'mericans) field at our San Antonio Del Mar campus this week. In addition to worshipping God and thanking Him for providing this great facility, we had our first soccer match. And yes, that's me playing the role of the obnoxious emcee in the video.

But perhaps the best part of the dedication was Sean Lambert's challenge to the staff:

I went out and bought a new goalie uniform and we will be having 10 YWAM Staff take a goal kick on me.  I hope to block and stop as many as I can.  We have $380 pledged for every goal kick I stop. The donated funds go to YWAM's property fund.  As a reverse incentive any staff member that makes a goal kick will receive $180 of support! (emphasis mine)

To my surprise, my name was drawn first to attempt a goal kick on Sean. You can see in the amazing result at the 3:35 mark in the video above.

Special thanks goes to staff member, David Donaldson for filming and editing this video.
